Legends profile #1: Half Japanese
Half Japanese were formed by brothers Jad and David Fair around 1975. Famed for Jad's notorious out-of-tune guitar playing, the brothers' DIY approach was a huge influence on fellow noise-mongers Sonic Youth and a certain Mr.Courtney Love (AKA Kurt Cobain), who even counted their album 'We Are They Who Ache With Amorous Love' (released in 1990) amongst his 50 all-time favourite records.
Half Japanese will be coming to the UK in spring 2011 - meanwhile you should check out this mini-doc on youtube:

Tonight - KnickerRocker Glory don't forget, and tomorrow we see Offset Festival and Dancing Bear!
With Their Debut Album 'Teeth Union' out now, Ice Sea Dead People are ones to watch for 2011, come and see them before they go sky high.
- A Mind-Bendingly Glorious Primal Racket - NME
+ DüD (Live)
Düd might be a band. Members of Düd might have been in other bands before but they can’t remember. Düd could possibly be the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Jon Jackson. Düd may or may not have been influenced by Dinosaur Jr. Düd don’t have a myspace. Düd do play live.
Second head combine post punk and future pop to create a monster of a supergroup! With two EPs already out in the public domain who knows what this group of talented art punks will come up with in 2011. Greatness we presume.
